Katherine is a Senior Clinical & Scientific Recruiter based in California, with over seven years of experience in life sciences talent acquisition. Currently at The Steely Group, she specializes in placing top-tier talent across research & development, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, quality, manufacturing, engineering, and project management roles in the biotech, pharma, and medical device industries.

What drew Katherine to The Steely Group was its smaller company feel and a leadership team that truly prioritizes culture -- something that deeply aligns with her own values. In her role, she is focused on expanding the firm’s presence across California and the broader West Coast, bringing a highly personalized and strategic approach to every client and candidate interaction.

Before joining The Steely Group, Katherine held key recruiting roles at Hydrogen Group, Ascent Life Sciences, and Aerotek, and began her career in equestrian show jumping as a professional trainer. As a former competitive athlete, Katherine brings an innate drive and love of competition to her recruiting style. She’s fiercely motivated to help people not only find -- but land -- their next great role, and thrives on the challenge of matching top talent with high-impact opportunities.

Katherine’s excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed -- she was a member of the President’s Club at Ascent Life Sciences and recognized as one of the Top Perm Producers at Hydrogen Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from San Diego State University, where she served as Vice President of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega.

Outside of work, Katherine is an avid golfer who achieved a rare and thrilling hole-in-one on the signature hole at the prestigious Los Angeles Country Club -- host of the U.S. Open. She loves spending time outdoors, whether she’s on the course, hitting the trails for a hike, or staying active with Pilates. Katherine also cherishes quality time with her nieces and nephews, and at home, she’s a proud cat mom to Minksy, a 19-year-old feline with seniority, and Mochi, a spirited 2-year-old sidekick.
