Curtis Bull brings more than 8 years of business development and full-desk recruiting experience in the life sciences industry to his role as Senior Client Partner for The Steely Group. Based on the West Coast, he’s focused on growing The Steely Group’s presence across biotech, pharma, and medical device companies in key markets, including the San Francisco Bay Area, Northern California, and Southern California. With a proven track record of delivering top-tier talent across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Clinical functions, Curtis is known for his consultative approach, deep market insight, and ability to produce results in even the most competitive hiring environments.

A natural connector with a commercial mindset, Curtis leads with integrity, empathy, and curiosity. He’s passionate about building strong, lasting relationships – with clients, candidates, and colleagues alike – and believes the best client partners are matchmakers, trusted advisors, and great listeners.

When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Curtis outdoors – snowboarding on a mountain in the winter, fishing the Deschutes, and Sandy River in the summer, or exploring lakes and hiking trails with his Springer Spaniels, Sully and Henry. A native of Oregon and former commercial fisherman, and House Flipper, Curtis is also a devoted foodie who is always on the hunt for great Thai, sushi, Mexican, or Italian spots – and he’s always happy to swap restaurant recommendations.
